Steel latches of the Boosted Safe Elite clipping onto the lower child-seat anchors in a rear seat

Will it fit your truck? Two minutes to check.

Boosted Safe locks onto the lower child-seat anchors in your rear seat. If your truck has a back seat with those anchors, it fits. Start with your cab style.

Usually fits

Crew cab

Double Cab, SuperCrew, CrewMax. Full back seat, and most have lower anchors. Confirm in your truck.

Check first

Extended cab

Club Cab, SuperCab, King Cab, Access Cab. Some have anchors in the small rear bench, some do not. Look before you order.

Does not fit

Regular cab

No back seat means nothing to lock onto. Boosted Safe will not work in these trucks.

Find your anchors in three steps.

1. Look at the seat crease. Press the back seat cushion apart where the seat back meets the seat bottom. The anchors are small steel bars.

2. Look for the marks. Many seats have a small tag or symbol showing where each anchor sits.

3. Check your manual. It lists which rear positions have anchors. Our Will It Fit page and LATCH and ISOFIX guide walk through it.

Every US passenger vehicle since the 2003 model year has child-seat anchors by federal standard. Exceptions exist above 8,500 lb and in some regular cabs. Fit still varies by year, make, model, trim and seating layout. Source: FMVSS 225 (49 CFR 571.225).

Guides for your truck

How it works in your truck.

1

Click it in.

Slide the safe onto a rear seat position with lower anchors and press the two steel latches on.

2

Set your thumb.

Add a fingerprint on the Elite. A keypad code and a key are your backups.

3

Drop the cover.

The quilted cover goes on and the safe reads as an ordinary booster seat.

The release is inside the safe, so it has to be opened before it can be unlatched. Room for a pistol stored unloaded, a 16-inch laptop, a camera, passports, or a wallet and key fob.

A parked truck is an easy target.

698,347

In 2025, police reported 698,347 thefts from vehicles to the FBI. That is one every 45 seconds.

Source: FBI Crime Data Explorer, NIBRS Theft From Motor Vehicle, 2025; agencies covering about 89% of the U.S. population. No safe is theft-proof and we will never say otherwise. Boosted Safe is built to make a theft slower, louder and less rewarding.

Truck owner questions.

Will Boosted Safe fit my truck?

It fits compatible trucks that have a rear seat with LATCH or ISOFIX lower anchors. Fit varies by year, make, model, trim and seating layout. Check your anchors using the steps above or on our Will It Fit page.

Does it work in a regular cab truck?

No. A regular cab has no rear seat, so there are no rear anchors to lock onto.

What about extended cab trucks?

It depends on the truck. Some extended cabs have a small rear bench with lower anchors and some have jump seats without them. Check your seat or manual, or email us your year, make, model and cab style.

Where in the truck does it go?

On a rear seat position that has lower anchors. It is not designed for the bed, a console or the front seat.

Can a thief just take it?

No safe is theft-proof. Boosted Safe is built to make theft slower, harder and louder than a loose box. The release is inside the safe, so it has to be opened before it can be unlatched.

Do I need tools or drilling?

No tools, no drilling, no changes to your truck. It clips into the anchors your truck already has.

Can I move it to another vehicle?

Yes. Release it and clip it into another compatible vehicle with rear-seat lower anchors, such as a car or SUV.

Is it legal to leave a firearm in my truck?

That depends on your state. Some states have specific rules for firearms left in unattended vehicles. Read where it is legal to keep a gun in your car and check your state's official statute. Boosted Safe is a storage product, not a legal guarantee. Store firearms unloaded and follow your state's transport laws. This is general information, not legal advice.

What if I do not like it?

Every safe comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the product page for current terms.

Check your back seat. Then lock it in.

If your truck has a back seat with lower anchors, the Elite clips in and you are done.
