Cable-Only Problem

If the safe can leave the car, the contents leave with it.

Many portable vehicle safes rely on a steel cable. In this test, multiple cable-tethered safes were removed by leverage, body force, cable failure, or safe-body deformation.

That does not mean every cable safe is useless. It means cable-only securement is a real point to compare when choosing a vehicle safe.
