These Shorts show Boosted Safes under pull tests, hand tools, a sledgehammer and an angle grinder, each with its words written out below it.
The safes clip to LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US). The Golden Gate Elite clips cover the five-minute prize round, which ended after the clock ran out with the safe open. The Elite clip covers what the testers said about setup after their five-minute round. Firearms are stored unloaded.
With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count. The full film is the car safe rip-out test video.
The Shorts and their words
Watch Us Test the Strength of BoostedSafe
Yeah, this took absolute abuse and still did not disconnect from the car and also did not open.
Car Safe Strength Test | Boosted Safe Is Locked In
Another bodybuilder takes on our Boosted Safe. [...] Another challenger down. This safe's still locked down tight. [inaudible] [...] Oh man. As much as I try to pull, [...]. [...] My initial thoughts are, you know, it's actually pretty aesthetically pleasing, and when you're opening it, it's pretty high-tech, but that thing is not coming off. I tried my hardest. You can tell I'm kind of breathing hard, and this is very, very secure. [...] Yeah, let's say it's big enough to, you can put like a laptop in there, headphones. Either me or I've known someone who's had something stolen from their car. For me, it's been my headphones, it's been my laptop. This would be just such a key factor to keeping anything in there safe.
Cash Inside. 5 Minutes. Any Tool They Want.
Let's move on to the Golden Gate. This next safe is essentially the same as this Boosted Safe Elite. It's got the biometrics, it's got the keys, it's got the fingerprints. But it's specifically engineered to protect your most valuable items, your firearms. It was engineered to meet all the different standards that California has to be considered a safe. One of them is it has to have at least 10,000 different permutations. Ours has over 450,000 different permutations you can use. You can't be able to pry it open so that a kid could reach their hand in there and grab anything. We over-engineered this bad boy and I'm excited to see how well it holds up. On this one, I'm actually going to just put the prize money inside the safe, and they have to keep going until it's open. So, there you go.
Can You Rip Our Heaviest Car Safe Out by Hand?
I have faith. You got five minutes, first one in wins the money. If you don't think you're gonna be able to get in with anything, like try a sledgehammer, try a grinder, do whatever, make it fun. You want some beef jerky? Ready? Mark, set, go. Hopefully Austin doesn't care what's inside the safe. Two minutes in, you still got three minutes, Austin. You still got three minutes. At some point I do want to see that freaking Sawzall or the grinder on this bad boy. Austin's back to the sledgehammer. Three minutes 30 seconds. Four minutes 15, but I guess we'll just keep going until you get it open, right? Hey. Good work. Didn't make the five minutes, but you made it.
Golden Gate Verdict: “It Kicked My Butt”
It kicked my butt. Well, the hammer was making progress, the big hammer looked like it, but I think ultimately worked against me. Made it harder to cut when I tried the grinder cutoff wheel. And yeah, I grinded the crap out of it and I still didn't even cut all the way through the metal in a lot of these parts. So even though I've got almost the whole lid cut, I still couldn't wedge in there and prop it off. That's got to be at least two, maybe even three times thicker than that last one. That's hefty. That's a hefty safe.
Angle Grinder vs Our Toughest Car Safe
So we have a dilemma. This safe is broken, stuck on my display chair. So one of the comments that people like is they say to attack the piano hinge. So I'm going to use what's left of this cutoff wheel to try to attack this piano hinge. Get one today, boostedsafe.com.
We Kept Going Until This Safe Opened
That was awesome. That was so much fun. Thank you guys for coming out. We're going to destroy these safes on the way out, grind them up, [inaudible]. All right, here we go. Got some fun today. Busting up some safes. Boosted Safe Elite can hold all your valuables, your DSLRs, your cameras, three handguns. Get one today. Boostedsafe.com.
They Had 5 Minutes. Boosted Elite Stayed Shut.
I would say I, you know, didn't know what direction the batteries went first. I mean, a little startle, but just try it in a few seconds. Full disclosure, our newest versions, this is the previous one. Our newest versions have the batteries pre-installed, so we'll take off a minute for that one. I about had the code learned, I just didn't read the instructions all the way through and get the fact that you have to push the learn button again after you add in your code. Other than that, pretty straightforward, I thought. So you got to hit your learn button, enter your four to six digit code, hit the learn button again. That is a common frustration. I like the way it's hooked to the seat, honestly. I don't really see any bad right now. I like the way the code is, I like the key.
