This 2023 film shows an early Boosted Safe, a steel box with a combination lock that clips to LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US) under a booster seat cover.
Founder Skyler Baird explains where it came from: a clunky briefcase chained in his car to protect his camera gear and computer, then the booster seats he met as a parent. He lists who tried the early prototypes and what they carried. He shows the connectors, the release you can reach only when the safe is open, and how it clicks in.
It is not a current product demonstration. With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count. The written version is the founder story.

1:51 Hi, my name is Skyler. I'm the founder and creator of the Boosted Safe. I designed this product, you know, it's probably been 15 years in the making. Back from when I originally started with just this, you know, clunky briefcase that was chained to the back of my car. It had all my valuables in it, it had my camera gear, my computer, my livelihood, because I was a videographer and film editor, and I couldn't afford to lose those things. So I went through all the extents of the world to make sure that that didn't get lost, chaining it to the back of the trunk of my car.
2:27 Then I had kids, and I found out these booster seats can click into the car, and I said, that would be a great connection point for a safe, and that's where the Boosted Safe came from. It's patterned after the design of a booster seat that clicks into the back of a car, but opens up and is a steel construction that's secure, safe. It's, you know, we've got thousands of dollars in here, we've got passports, credit cards, hard drives. Obviously, this isn't what I carry on with me every day, but some people do.
3:00 I've been giving prototypes out to different people in different industries and the things that they love it for, you know, these construction workers that have a lot of cash on them to pay their employees every day. There's a company that smelts precious metals that has to move things from one location to another. It just adds that extra layer of security. I have a lot of friends that are avid runners, mountain bike enthusiasts. They like to be in the outdoors, and they'll just throw in their phones or they'll throw in their, you know, their Bluetooth speakers. That way they can go out on a run and not have to worry about someone breaking into their car, you know, even leaving their car unlocked but leaving the safe locked in place.
3:47 I've been using it for a number of months, and I love it. It's given me peace of mind. It allows me to keep some things that I normally wouldn't with me. I keep [inaudible] safe. I keep my title in there. Things that I just want to keep safe, obviously.
4:05 The safe is made out of steel. And there's a combination lock on the top, and it has two poles that lock the safe in place. So it's very, very secure. These are our ISOFIX connections. This is what secures the safe to the car. There's a simple release mechanism when the safe is secured into the back of the vehicle to allow you to remove the safe. But the only way you can access that release valve is when the safe is open, which makes it really cool and really secure.
4:43 So now I'm going to show you how to install the safe. The safe comes pre-loaded with the ISOFIX connectors already installed. Locate the ISOFIX connection points on the back of your car. Sometimes they're indicated with little icons above where they're hidden in the crevice. That's simple. Bump it in and it's good to go. [...] To release, you pull on the connection points from inside the vehicle and now it's free. Boosted Safe.
