What USA Carry shows
This is an 18-second vertical first look at the Boosted Safe by Luke McCoy of USA Carry, a YouTube channel, posted Nov 7, 2025, at the start of a few weeks of testing.
Video by USA Carry, on YouTube. He says he got a discount on his unit and a viewer code, and that he makes nothing from the code. Words below are ours, not theirs.
The clip is too short to carry a review, so the substance is in his video description. He calls the way it attaches to the LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US) "a pretty clever idea".
His comparison is with his old setup, a small pistol safe under the seat on a cable. That worked for a handgun on errands where he could not carry. It did not solve the laptop and DSLR, which he carried into the store instead. Firearms are stored unloaded.
His early notes are positive: easy to install and set up, and easy to detach. He enrolled several prints of one finger at different angles. He adds that he rarely has a passenger in that seat, which matters, because the safe takes up the position. These are first impressions, with no test in the clip.
What to watch for
At 18 seconds there is no chapter to find, so watch it through and read his description for the detail.
The Boosted Safe Elite and his first impressions
The Boosted Safe Elite opens by fingerprint, keypad or key, and fits a 16-inch MacBook Pro. The release is inside the safe. It comes off the anchors only after it has been opened. With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count.
The Elite in this video is a theft safe in 16-gauge steel. If firearms are the main job, the Golden Gate Elite is the model certified for firearms, in 12-gauge steel, on pre-order. Shipping: November.
For the cable he moved away from, read anchors vs a security cable. Then check your vehicle, compare the models, see every car gun safe and read the reviews.
