What the Spa Guy tested
This is a 5-minute install of the Boosted Safe Elite in a Jeep Wrangler by the Spa Guy, a YouTube channel better known for Elvis history, posted Feb 12, 2026.
Video by Spa Guy, on YouTube. He says he bought it. Words below are ours, not theirs.
He is an owner who has been driving a Wrangler with valuables in it and finally wanted somewhere to shut them away. The video has no polish, and that is part of its use. He films one-handed, works out the hooks as he goes, and turns off the camera when it gets awkward. If you want to see a real person meet the LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US) for the first time, this is it.
What he works out: the foam comes out first, the pins inside adjust how far the hooks extend, and only then do you latch it in and put the foam back.
His praise is short. He says it was "Well worth the investment" and recommends it. His friction points are more useful. The printed steps for adding a fingerprint did not work for him until he figured out the sequence himself. The top of his unit also shows discoloring, which he puts down to items set on it over time.
He does not test it. He points to our ads that show tools being used on it, and takes that on trust. So read his confidence as an owner's opinion. We make no such absolute claim. With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count.
One point for Wrangler owners, since the description mentions doors and top off. The anchors hold the safe, but rain still gets into an open Jeep. It is not fireproof or waterproof.
What to watch for
- 0:27. The hooks on the safe and the anchors on the seat, shown up close.
- 1:20. The pins that adjust how far the hooks extend.
- 2:06. The order that works: foam out, hooks on, foam back.
- 3:09. The discoloring on top after a while in the Jeep.
- 3:37. Programming a fingerprint, once he has it figured out.
The Boosted Safe Elite in his Jeep
The Boosted Safe Elite opens by fingerprint, keypad or key, and fits a 16-inch MacBook Pro. The release is inside the safe. It comes off the anchors only after it has been opened.
His Wrangler is his own fit, not a promise for yours. Read the Jeep Wrangler fit guide and then check your vehicle. The setup guide covers the fingerprint steps. You can also compare the models, see every car safe and read the reviews.
