What Sgt Ashley Smith shows
This is a 100-second vertical install of the Boosted Safe Elite in a 2026 Toyota 4Runner by Sgt Ashley Smith, a YouTube creator, posted Jul 26, 2026, as part of her 4Runner build.
Video by Sgt Ashley Smith, on YouTube. The video does not say how she got the unit. Words below are ours, not theirs.
She clips it to the LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US) and says, "That was by far the easiest installation". Then she closes the doors and looks from the front seat to show how it reads as a booster seat. Inside, she points out the Faraday bag and the cable, which is a second tether or the option where there are no anchors.
She is positive throughout, and there is no criticism in this one. She also does not test it herself. For abuse, she sends you to our videos. Take this as a look at how it goes into one owner's 4Runner, which is not a promise that it fits yours.
She makes the point that it is not only for handguns, and lists money, jewelry and documents. Firearms are stored unloaded.
What to watch for
- 0:35. The install.
- 0:52. The three ways to open it.
- 1:05. The cable and where it can go.
- 1:16. The view from the front seat with the doors closed.
- 1:21. What she would keep in it.
The Boosted Safe Elite in her 4Runner
The Boosted Safe Elite opens by fingerprint, keypad or key. The release is inside the safe. It comes off the anchors only after it has been opened. With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count.
The Elite in this video is a theft safe in 16-gauge steel. If firearms are the main job, the Golden Gate Elite is the model certified for firearms, in 12-gauge steel, on pre-order. Shipping: November.
