What Magazine Magic tested
This is a 15-minute open-box review of the Boosted Safe Elite by Magazine Magic, a YouTube channel, posted Nov 23, 2025.

This is an unscripted first impression, with a lot of energy and no notes. He is taken by the weight, the packing and the spring-assisted lid. Under the cover he prefers the patterned side, because it reads more like a child's seat in a truck without leather.
The small gripes come early. There is a sticky patch on the cover. Setup confused him until he went back to the directions, after which he calls it simple. He also trips the lockout by trying too many fingers in a row.
The capacity test is the main event. He shows each gun clear on camera, fits two full-size pistols and still has room. Then he pulls foam layers to see whether an AR-style pistol will close inside, with its magazine left out. It does. That is his gear and not a promise for yours. Inside it measures 15.1 x 13.6 x 4.25 in, and rifles, shotguns and anything over 15 inches do not fit. Firearms are stored unloaded.
In the truck he latches onto the LATCH anchors (called ISOFIX outside the US) and yanks on it with no cover in place. His honest note is that the safe slides around a little on his seat while staying attached. He mentions that more than once, so take him at his word. He does not try any tool on it, and says he would rather keep his unit in one piece. His verdict is hedged and upbeat: "this might be a great product".
Some details need updating. The anchors come in US passenger vehicles from model year 2003, and he gives a later year. The list price and code in the video are from 2025, so check all six safes for today's price. He talks about moving the safe around the cabin. We do not recommend his reasoning. It sits on the back seat as storage for when you leave the car.
What to watch for
- 3:32. The reversible cover, and the sticky patch he finds.
- 6:03. The layered foam that pulls apart to shape.
- 7:03. His honest account of being confused by setup.
- 9:02. Removing layers for the capacity test.
- 10:55. Pulling on it in the truck, and the sideways movement he reports.
The Boosted Safe Elite he opened
The Boosted Safe Elite opens by fingerprint, keypad or key. The Basic uses a code and a key and needs no batteries. The release is inside the safe. It comes off the anchors only after it has been opened. With enough time and tools nothing is secure. The job is to raise the time and the tool count.
The Elite in this video is a theft safe in 16-gauge steel. If firearms are the main job, the Golden Gate Elite is the model certified for firearms, in 12-gauge steel, on pre-order. Shipping: November.
