So can anyone get in?
With enough time and enough tools, nothing is secure. That’s true of your house too. What you get is a steel box latched to the car, with the release inside it, that turns a one-minute smash-and-grab into a slow, loud job in a back seat. And if a thief damages your safe or somehow beats it, we send you a new one, free.
Can a thief just take the whole safe?
It is latched to steel anchors welded to the car’s body, and the release is inside the safe. To take it out, someone has to open it first. With enough time and enough tools nothing is secure. Our job is to make a smash-and-grab need far more of both than a thief brings to a parking lot.
Are the test videos real?
Yes. They’re our own clips, filmed on real cars with real tools. The grenade and the nuclear bomb are jokes. We did not get the permits.
Which cars does it fit?
US passenger vehicles from model year 2003 have lower anchors in the back seat (LATCH in the US, ISOFIX everywhere else). Heavy-duty pickups over 8,500 lb and regular cabs may not: check yours in a minute. The safe clips to the anchors in under a minute, no tools. For an older vehicle, or a spot without anchors, the Universal Anchor Adapter (coming soon) adds the same latch points.
How do I open it?
Finger on the reader and the lid lifts, in about a second. The Elite also opens with a keypad code or the backup key. If the battery dies, a USB-C port on the front powers it up long enough to open.
What fits inside?
The Boosted Safe Elite is 15.1 × 13.6 × 4.25 inches inside: a 16-inch laptop, passports, wallet, a camera, a pistol (unloaded). Every Elite comes with a Faraday bag that fits a 16-inch laptop, an iPad or a phone.
Can I keep a gun in it?
Yes, unloaded. Laws on guns in cars differ by state, so check yours; this isn’t legal advice. If you want the one certified for firearms, get the Golden Gate Elite: 12-gauge steel, and it’s on the California DOJ’s list of certified firearm safety devices.
